Bogart, GA - Mabel V. Rander, 92, died October 7, 2011.
Born in Alderson, WV, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Maggie C. Arbaugh Baker and the widow of Joseph George Rander (1994). Following her husband's military career, they lived in Hyattsville, MD and Rehoboth Beach, DE. She worked for Washington DC Naval Yard and Kiplinger Press and volunteered for Bebee Hospital in Lewes DE. Mrs. Rander moved to Bogart in 2010.
Memorial services will be Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 2:30 PM at Highland Hills Village, 1660 Jennings Mill Road, Bogart, GA 30622.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Home Chapel, Lewes, DE with Mr. John Bradely Criss officiating. Entombment will follow in Henlopen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Parsell Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until service time.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Kathryn Tanner (Thomas) of Grover Beach, CA; son, Andrew L. Rander (Carolyn) of Owings, MD; sister, Mary C. Meadows of Bogart, GA; grandchildren, Andrea Garratt, Stacy Chriss and Darlene Gibson and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
