Mabel Davis McCord, 94, died November 1, 2006.
A former resident of Charlotte, NC, and the last of ten children, Mrs. McCord was the daughter of the late Mary Jane Kidd and James Monroe Davis, and the widow of James M. McCord. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Athens, where she was a life member of the Women of the Church Club. She was also an active member of the Sewing Club and the Noon Club of Athens.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Oconee Chapel. Interment will be in Oconee Memorial Park.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Glenn Doster of Watkinsville; grandchildren, James D. Doster of Duluth, Charles J. and Lori Fraleigh, and Karen E. Fraleigh, all of San Francisco, CA; one great grandson, Peter James Fraleigh; a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital of a charity of choice.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors, Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
