Lynn Alan Schwabauer, 79 of Athens, Ga.
Passed away on January 21, 2025. The son of the late Harold & Dorothy Schwabauer, he was born in Columbia, SC. Where his father was flight training on the B-29 for the invasion of Japan.
He loved flying and was a licensed pilot along with his father, brother, uncle, son and nephew. He loved his hobbies which included R/C airplanes, model trains, Bonsai, raising Koi, shooting at the Athens Rifle Club and painting.
He grew up in Denver, CO. and was a metallurgical engineer alumni from Colorado School Of Mines. He later in life also obtained an MBA from Illinois State University.
His final wish was to have his ashes scattered with his beloved wife of 48 years and his dogs ashes at his fathers favorite trout fishing spot in Colorado where he went with his wife after they were married.
He is survived by his son Michael Schwabauer of Athens, GA, daughter in-law Daniela Schwabauer, Brother Craig Schwabauer of Denver, Co. Sister Diane Hendricks of Shingle Springs, CA, nephews Brett & Brice Hendricks and niece Katie Svensek.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Athens Area Humane Society.
