Athens, GA - Lula Bell Lassiter, 96, died February 25, 2009.
Born in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late James Frank and Bertha Matthews Gunnells and was preceded in death by a son, Ray Lassiter. Mrs. Lassiter was retired from Thomas Textile after 57 years of service and was a member of West End Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 27, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include her granddaughters, Teresa Lassiter Sheffer and her husband, Lloyd of Bethlehem, and Debra M. Lassiter of Watkinsville; great granddaughters, Kelsey Elizabeth Sheffer and Abigail Macrae Sheffer of Bethlehem, and daughter-in-law, Gladys Lassiter of Watkinsville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Arbor Congregational Respite Program, c/o Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church, 395 West Crogan Street, Lawrenceville, GA 30045.
