Stephens - Mrs. Lucy Moore Howard passed away on Monday, July 17, 2006 at her home in Stephens, GA with her children and grandchildren at her side.
Born December 30, 1912 in Maxeys, GA, she was the daughter of the late Owen B. and Ilene Young Moore. She was the widow of John Mell Howard. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rachel Arnold and a brother, James O. Moore.
Mrs. Howard was a homemaker and worked with her husband at their store, Howard Mercantile Co. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Paradise of Stephens, Mary Sisk of Lexington, Elizabeth Tonn and her husband Roland of Oconomowoc, WI and Edna Moore of Camilla, GA; eight grandchildren, Pam Paradise, John Sisk, Susan Sisk Watkins and her husband Mike, Gary Sisk, Mary Tonn Buhl and her husband Neil, Carrie Tonn, Doug Eberhardt and his wife Melisa, and David Moore; eight great-grandchildren, Katie Sisk, Eric Sisk, Brandon Watkins and his wife Tammy, Brent Watkins, Morgan and Dylan Ballew, Emily Eberhardt, and Maddie Buhl, and one great-great-granddaughter, Kelsie Watkins.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Thursday, July 20, 2006 at Center United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Mark Larocca-Pitts officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Center United Methodist Church.
