Lucille Mckettrick Nelms

Crawford - Lucille McKettrick Nelms, age 88, of Crawford, died Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at Athens Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Minnie Lee Tullis McKettrick and the wife of the late Thomas Eugene Nelms. Mrs. Nelms worked at St. Maryís Hospital until her retirement. She was a resident of Quiet Oaks Nursing Home in Crawford. She was a member of the Lighthouse Evangelical Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Martha & Robert Huff, Glenda & Coile Stewart of Crawford. Tomi Nelms of Hartwell, Bill Nelms of Lexington, and Lucy Bridges of Carlton. Twelve Grandchildren, Sixteen Great-grandchildren, and One Great-great-grandchild. A number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were Friday, May 26, 2006 in the Chapel of Lord and Stephens, Crawford, at 10:00 A.M. with the Rev. Wiley Carney and Rev. Dan Fernandez officiating. Burial was at 2:00 p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lincolnton. Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Oglethorpe Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. www.lordandstephens.com
