Winterville, GA - Lucille Allen Lumpkin, 76, died September 30, 2007.
A native of Habersham County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Henry Grady and Julia Mae Hopkins Allen. She was a devoted member of Winterville United Methodist Church for many years. Mrs. Lumpkin was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Allen and Carter Allen.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Winterville United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis H. Lumpkin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine L. and Elliott P. Butler of Watkinsville, Denise and Bruce H. Burn of Monroe; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Susan W. Lumpkin of Winterville; three sisters, Abby Williams, Sarah Briggs, both of Athens, Mary Bertram of Winterville; seven brothers, Donald Allen of Cornelia, Bobby Allen of Temple, Charles Allen of Douglasville, George Allen of Toccoa, David Allen of Wichita, KS, Doug Allen of Cornelia and Curtis Allen of Toccoa; five grandchildren, James E. Butler, Katherine Victoria Butler, John A. Butler, Charlotte M. Brown and Mallory N. Brown; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
