Lozelle Segars Cape, 86, wife of the late Lester Lee Cape, Sr., died Sunday, December 22, 2013.

A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Doctor Luther Segars and Lydia Westmoreland Segars. She was a homemaker and member of Christian Life Worship Center. As a longtime member of Christian Life Worship Center, she was very active as the Women's Prayer Group leader, the Prayer Chain and Women's Ministries Group. She loved gardening in her flower garden and sharing the beautiful flowers she grew.

Survivors include her children: Arlette (H. Lavon) Cape Revells, Carole Cape, Lee Cape, Jr. and Greg (Linda) Cape all of Athens; sisters: Sara Phillips, Patricia Poole, Celeste Chiflet; grandchildren: Laura Revells Allen, Christipher Revells, Lee Cape, III, Colton Cape, Candace Cape, Brandon Fortson, Blake Fortson, Justin Cape and Zach Cape and seventeen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 2PM at Christian Life Worship Center with Pastors Hugh Morgan and Brian Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Grandsons will be pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Christian Life Worship Center or the Neese Volunteer Fire Department.

Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
