Louise Lindsey Autry

Louise Lindsey Autry, 97, of Athens, GA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 15, 2012.
Mrs. Autry was born in Oglethorpe County, Georgia to the late Maude and Frank Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Alma Jean and James L. Brooks; one sister, Mary Ann Shinkle and great grandchild, Amanda Kay Brooks.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 77 years, Willie C. Autry; son, Melvin (Norma) Autry of Athens; daughter, Linda (Bill) Williams of Winterville; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Autry's inspirational poems, songs, music and her singing ministry were a special gift she enjoyed sharing with others throughout her lifetime. She was a loving wife, mother, superb homemaker, and an avid gardener of vegetables and flowers.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 4:00 pm at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, Danielsville with the Rev. Raymond Duncan officiating. Interment will be in Danielsville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 3:00 pm until service time.
