Louis F. Bagwell, 82, of Winterville Ga, died Sunday, January 19, 2014. A native of Athens, Louis was a son of the late Cleveland and Dollie Wages Bagwell. He was an avid sports fan and would never miss a Braves game. Louis had over 50 years of service at Heyward Allen.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Jimmy and Joseph C. Bagwell.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Daisy Melton Bagwell, son Kenny (Leigh) Bagwell, sisters; Patsy Bagwell, Pauline Hopkins, and Betty A. Shelnett, and granddaughter Ashley (Jared) Carter.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00-1:00p.m. with the service following at 1:00 in the chapel, interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. Rev. Anthony Watts will officiate the service, Jared Carter, Danny Cheek, Chris Cheek, Chuck Cheek, Jimmy Bagwell, and Rick Melton will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Johnson Drive Baptist Church.
