Louie Mark Brooks

Louie Mark Brooks, age 42, of the Bairdstown Community of Oglethorpe County, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital, Athens GA. A lifelong resident of Oglethorpe County, he was born July 7, 1972 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, GA to the late Louie Carlton Brooks and Nell Stratton Brooks of the Bairdstown Community.
In his earlier years he worked at Chipman-Union Inc., Pliant Corporation and the last at Standridge Color Corporation. He attended Oglethorpe County Schools and he was a member of the Woodville Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and tending to his chickens and donkeys. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 4pm at the Bairds Baptist Church, 42 Bairdstown Loop, Union Point, GA 30669 with Pastor John Duncan, Minister Janie Wilson and Minister Sherry White. The family will receive friends Saturday from 3pm until time for the service at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In addition to his Mother, he is survived by his loving wife of almost 24 years, Susan Michelle Allen Brooks of Bairdstown Community; two wonderful sons, Joshua Brooks and Matthew Brooks and girlfriend Deanna of Bairdstown Community, a brother, Mike Brooks and wife Brenda of San Antonio, Texas, a sister Sheron Brooks Wiggins and husband Shawn of bairdstown Community, several nieces and nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, Louie Carlton Brooks.
Pallbearers: Tim Wray, Gil Wray, Jerry Walker, Donald Gunnin, Chuck Tinker and John Gore. Honorary pallbearers are : Brad Vaughn, Justin Vaughn, Ryan Moody, Jonathan Moody, Joey Allen, Andrew Allen, Gary Allen, J.T. Allen, Brian Vaughn, Shawn Wiggins, Donald Moody and the Woodville Fire Dept.
