Comer, GA - Lonnie E. Tucker, 81, died January 30, 2008.
A native of Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late Mell and Susie Casey Tucker and was preceded in death by his first wife, Montine Callaway Tucker in 1990. Mr. Tucker was a farmer and was employed with Athens Farm Equipment for 22 years.
Graveside services will be Friday, February 1, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Colliers Baptist Church Cemetery. Revs. Ken Callaway, Billy Tucker and Johnny Tucker will officiate.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Burdette Tucker; children, Delores Heinz of Comer, Richard Tucker of Carlton, Jimmy Tucker, Susan Driver and Jeff Tucker, all of Comer; brothers, Johnny Tucker of Comer, Billy Tucker of Rayle and Sammy Tucker of Hull; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM and will also be at the residence, 579 Watson Mill Road, Comer, Georgia.
Lord and Stephens, EAST is in charge of arrangements.
