Lonnie Eugene "Gene" Allen

Lonnie "Gene" Allen, 78, of Watkinsville, died Saturday, April 25, 2015. A native of Alpharetta, he was preceded in death by his parents and first wife of 42 years, Jeannette Turner Allen. Gene was the youngest and last surviving of nine children. He was the Founder and President of Duplicating Systems and served in the US Army. As a member of Grace Fellowship Church, he was active in the Classics Senior Group, Bojangles Prayer Team and Former President of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship for many years. Survivors include his wife Helen Elaine Miller Allen; children and their spouses: Terrye Proctor, Mike Allen, Steve (Teresa) Allen, Tracy (Dawn) Allen; grandchildren: Brandon, Brent, Matt, Shane, Tyler, Ethan, Justin and Conner Allen, Jason, Jennifer and Erin Proctor; great granddaughters: Charlie Cartledge and Alexa and Arianna Allen and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11AM at Grace Fellowship Church with Revs. Tracy Allen and Ronnie Healan officiating. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 at the funeral home, Monday, April 27, 2015. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to UNO Girls (Unselfish Neighborly Outreach), c/o Grace Fellowship Church.
