Lois Carnes Dial

Lois Carnes Dial, cherished mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the age of 85.

Born in Eatonton, she was a daughter of the late James Carnes and Merle Linch Carnes. Mrs. Dial was a longtime member of Whitehall Baptist Church and she thrived on time spent with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Dial and her siblings, Harold Carnes, Lucy Walker and Gladys Walker.

Survivors include her sons, Steve Dial (Carol) and Tom Dial (Lynn); four grandchildren, John Dial, Christopher Dial (Iris), Aaron Dial and Ashleigh Dial and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 25, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, West with Rev. Tom Dial and Rev. Jimmy Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the old High Shoals Holiness Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Dial, Aaron Dial, John Dial, Larry Walker, Mike Walker and Carl Hall. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
