Farmington - Lois Vickery Marshall Thurmond, 82, passed away September 29, 2008.
A native of Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Fannie Mae Carson and Mack Vickery. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond O. Marshall; second husband, Alfrus H. Thurmond; daughter, Wyverlyn Marshall; and granddaughter, Wendy Wilson. She was a homemaker and a member of Freeman Creek Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 11 AM at Farmington Cemetery with Revs. Charles Giles and Glen McIntyre officiating.
Survivors include three children, Mack Thurmond of Canton, Mich., Patsy Savage and John Thurmond, both of Farmington; three grandchildren, Jeff Thurmond, Brett Thurmond, Lorrie Ann Nesbitt; five great-grandchildren, Augusta Thurmond, Megan Thurmond, Dakota Nesbitt, Larry Wilson and Jonathan Wilson.
The family will receive friends Friday evening at Mrs. Thurmond's residence, 2821 Old Farmington Road, Farmington, GA 30638.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Farmington Cemetery, c/o Ann Kilpatrick, PO Box 767, Farmington, GA 30638.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
