Lois Yarbrough Lowe

November 18, 1922 — May 14, 2015

Lois Yarbrough Lowe, 92, a longtime resident of the Wolfskin Community, died May 14, 2015.
A native of Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late Cliff and Belle Townsend Yarbrough. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Garnett A. Lowe and two children, Carolyn Lowe Vaughan McFalls and Julius Clifton "Bo" Lowe.
Mrs. Lowe was a retired from the University of Georgia and was an active member of Corinth Baptist Church for many years.
Funeral services will be Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Richard McFalls officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Sherrill Abney and Garnetta and Wayne Turner, all of Arnoldsville; daughter-in-law, Laurlei Lowe; three sisters-in-law, Johanna Townsend of Fayetteville, NC, Lillian Shook of Athens and Mattie Lou Lowe of Arnoldsville; five grandchildren, Frank (Amy) Abney of Cumming, Sean Turner of Winterville, Neil (Maria) Abney of Arnoldsville, Christy (Brian) Dowling of Manhattan, KS, Sarah Bowen of Arnoldsville; great grandchildren, Annalise, Laura, Austin, Sterling, Nathanael, Taylor, Nicholas, Samson, Brianna, Abby Grace, Lukas, Elijah, Isabella, Natalie and Adalyn.
The family will receive friends at the Corinth Log Cabin on Sunday from 2:00 pm until service time.
Memorials may be made to Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2040 Belmont Road, Arnoldsville, GA 30619.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
