Lois B. Aiken, 101, died March 21, 2011.
A native of Madison County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Carrie Holcomb and John Glenn Brown and the widow of Walter B. Aiken. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, David Aiken; brothers, Paul, Coile, Curtis and James Brown; sisters, Ollie Patton and Frances Bond. Mrs. Aiken was a member of Hull Baptist Church for over ninety years. She was currently the oldest member and was also active in Sunday School and Women's Missionary Union. She worked for over forty years with her husband in Aiken's Grocery Store and Service Station.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Hull Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William G. (Billy) and Darleen Aiken; grandson and wife, Tom A. and Jennifer Aiken; great grandchildren, Brook and Cody Aiken and Jessica Walker.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Hull Baptist Church.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the White Dove Personal Care Home, including Judy, Nell and Rhonda, as well as Mrs. Aiken's hospice nurses.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
