Athens - Lizzie Mae Payne, 79, of Athens, GA passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2005.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late John Wiley and Annie Norris Johnson and was of the Baptist faith.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2005, at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Buford Lockman officiating.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Thompson of Athens, Annie Butler of Athens; one sister, Louise Dove of Athens; grandchildren, Wesley and Allison Thompson of Winterville, Deborah Payne of Atlanta, Carol and Grayson Bugg of Athens; three great-grandchildren, Hannah Morgan Thompson of Winterville, Bryan and Bradley Bugg of Athens.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home EAST is in charge of arrangements.
