Linda Morris, 61, died December 27, 2010.
A native of Washington, DC, she was raised in Upper Marlboro, Maryland and has lived in Athens for the last thirty years. She was a daughter of the late Joseph Townshend Wyvill and Shirley Ann Moore Denton. Mrs. Morris was the Assistant Manager from the University of Georgia Employees Federal Credit Union for twenty-six years and most recently worked for Scott, Wells and McElwee, P. C. in Athens.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Pitchford; two daughters, Stephanie (Tim) Sanders of Athens, Kimberly Nichols; two stepchildren, Beth Pitchford and Kin Pitchford; sister, Joyce A. (Dickie) Hunsinger of Colbert; four grandchildren, Matthew Harris and Ryan Harris, both of Oklahoma and Isaac Sanders and Kendall Sanders, both of Athens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
