Linda Ann (Ivester) McAvoy

Linda Ann Ivester McAvoy, 69, of Athens, died Monday, December 21, 2015.
Born in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Martha Dorsey Ivester. Mrs. McAvoy was a longtime member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church, where she enjoyed working with Bible School and Sunday School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Ivester.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis McAvoy; one daughter, Angela Warner; one brother, Harold (Margaret) Ivester; and two grandchildren, Patricia and Jasmine.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Lord and Stephens, West. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
Flowers are accepted.
