Linda Jo Hunter, 73, died July 31, 2014.
A lifelong resident of this area, she was a daughter of the late William Paul and Katherleen Shaw Hunter and was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Patricia Hunter and Vicki Hunter McCain. Linda retired from Reliance Electric after thirty-one years and was a member of First Christian Church of Athens, where she was the nursery coordinator for over twenty-two years.
Funeral services will be Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly Hunter (Bob) Bargfrede and Paula Hunter (O.P.) Jones; nephews, Eric Paul (Susan) Jones, Darren Hunter (Christy) Jones, Dirk (Paula) Bargfrede, Lari McCain (Ben) Johnson; four great nephews and three great nieces.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Maranantha Mattress Fund or the First Christian Church of Athens Building Fund.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
