Hull - Lillie Rice Spratlin Brown, 89,passed away March 28, 2008.
A native of Madison County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Ben Barrow and Lillie Rice Spratlin. She was a life long homemaker, cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a faithful member of Hull Baptist Church in Hull, GA, where she began and worked many years with Cradle Roll and Vacation Bible School. Her card ministry and letter writing was also a blessing to many who knew her. She was pr eceded in death by her husband, Coile Frank Brown.
Survivors include her sons: Dr. Gerald Lavonne Brown (Sima) of Free Union, VA, Timothy Rice Brown (Celia) of Hull, GA, Titus C. Brown of Athens, GA, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Lillie Rice's life and her home going to her Savior and Lord will be held at 1PM, Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Hull Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Interment will be in the Hull Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 2, 2008, from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hull Fire Department, Athens Christian School or to Hull Baptist Church Children's Ministry.
