Lillian Luke Sexton of Colbert, Georgia, widow of Marvin A. Sexton of Danielsville, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014.

She was born July 3, 1933 and was a native of Oconee County. She was the fifth child of the late C. F. (Dooley) Luke and Ree Thornton Luke. In addition to her parents and husband she is also preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by a daughter: Terri Sexton Franks and son in law, Barry W. Franks of Colbert; granddaughter: Molly Ree Franks of Brunswick; grandson: Jonathan W. Franks and wife Stacy of Ila; brother: Foster Luke and wife Mary Frances of Bogart; sister in law: Rosa Craft Luke of Bogart; brother in law: Brad Aderhold of Cannon, GA. She is also survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews and a special friend, Betty Fortson Carey and family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens Danielsville chapel with Rev. Benny Boggus and Rev. Bill Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Danielsville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Thomas, Dave Certain, Jonathan Franks, Stephens House, Keith Stallings and Scott Holcomb. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Mayes, Jimmy Williams, John William Greason and Russell McCants.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday, January 20, 2014 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice House, P.O. Box 6588, Athens, GA 30604, All donations should be earmarked, St. Mary's Hospice House.

Lord & Stephens Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.
