Lewis O. Seymour, 88, passed away August 22, 2012. Mr. Seymour was a Naval Aviator in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a member of Comer Baptist Church and had retired as a Maintenance Supervisor from Westinghouse.
Mr. Seymour was preceded in death by his parents, Jess & Myrtice Seymour, and a brother, J.C. Seymour.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Clara Moon Seymour; three children, Linda (Mike) Perry, Gary (Elaine) Seymour, and Jeff (Sandra) Seymour; one sister, Evelyn Matthews; five grandchildren, Renee (Brad) Roberts, Scott Seymour, Marty Seymour, Zack Seymour, and Caleb Seymour; and four great-grandchildren, Phoenix Roberts, Journey Roberts, Lenox Roberts, and Hannah Seymour.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Madison Chapel. Jeff Seymour will officiate. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 24 from 6 to 8p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Zack Seymour, Caleb Seymour, Phoenix Roberts, Brad Roberts, Rudy Matthews, and Ryan Paul. The honorary pallbearer will be Scott Seymour.
In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to the ACC Facility of Commerce, 200 Bolton Dr., Commerce, GA 30529 and/or Hospice Advantage, 2470 Daniels Bridge Rd., Suite 171, Athens, GA 30606.
