Levie McClain

Levie R. McClain died Monday, March 2, at the age of 103. Levie was born in Dallas, Texas but lived most of his life in Georgia and was a longtime resident of Madison County. His parents were Walter Martin McClain and Ressie Mercer McClain. He is survived by one sister, Helen Bradford; a son, William McClain; two daughters, Barbara Travis and June McClain; one granddaughter, Shirley Cartrette; two great granddaughters, Stephanie Fisher and Jenna Cartrette; one great great granddaughter, Hannah Fisher; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and three sisters, Edna Haralson, Alma Lunsford and Louise Shackleford and granddaughter, Donna Travis.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 4, 2015 beginning at 1:00 PM, followed by services in the chapel at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville. Burial will follow at Vineyard Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
