Lesley L. Jones

Lesley L. Jones, 69, wife of the late James R. “Randy” Jones, died Monday, April 4, 2022. Born in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Major Leslie Glenn Ling, Ret. And Marion Phyllis Craig Ling. Mrs. Jones retired from the University of Georgia School of Medicine as an Administrative Assistant and following her retirement she volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary Club.  She was a member of Briarwood Baptist Church and had also attended Bishop Baptist Church.

Survivors include her two children: Carrie (Pat) Holl and Jay (Myra) Higgins; sisters: Cynthia (Bill) Foster, Debby (Steven) Shillinglaw and Kathy (Jack) Conybear; grandchildren: Caleb DeFoor, Micah DeFoor, Katelynn Higgins, Glenn Higgins and  Sam Higgins, one great grandson: Rhett DeFoor and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 2PM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel. Interment will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary, Bridgeway Hospice or Walden’s Cove Personal Care Home.
