Leona Christine Jersey Lee, 91, died November 8, 2006 in Athens, GA.
Mrs. Lee was born October 26, 1915 in Canton, Ohio to Charles Frank and Christina Adams. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Jersey, Sr., her second husband, Aaron Lee and her son, Andrew Jersey, Jr. Mrs. Lee was a former cafeteria worker at Lake County Hospital, Painesville, Ohio and Fairfax County Hospital, Virginia.
Survivors include three daughters and son-in-law, Juanita and Ronald Helwig of Bogart, GA, Patricia Jacobs of Harpers Ferry, WV and Joyce Moody of Perry, OH; daughter-in-law, Agatha Jersey of Clarksburg, WV; grandchildren, Stephen, David and Mark Helwig, Michael Jacobs and Melissa Shrock, Donald Jersey, Leslie Sexton, William Jersey, April Griffin, Kimberly Cottrell, Michelle Moody, and Andrea Asbaugh; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with interment in Perry Township Cemetery, Perry, Ohio.
Family and friends may gather on November 12, 2006 from 2:00 until 6:00 PM at 1050 Jessica Way, Bogart, GA 30622.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Briarwood Baptist Church Community Missions Fund, PO Box 122, Watkinsville, GA 30677.
