Leila Poss Mapp

Leila Poss Mapp passed away, June 15, 2017. She was a native of Greene County, Georgia and the wife of the late James T. Mapp and the daughter of Belle Rice and Brantley Poss of Union Point, Georgia.
She was a retired employee of Westinghouse Electric Corporation and is a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church and in her later years attended Briarwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters: Linda Mapp Crawford and Donna Mapp Jackson; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren. Her memory will live through her family of which includes many nieces and nephews.
Six sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her kindness overflowed to her many friends and acquaintances along the way. Proverbs 31 describes her well and we will miss her until we meet again in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Graveside services will be conducted at Green Lawn Cemetery in Union Point, Georgia on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 3PM. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 until 1:30 at her daughter's residence, 745 St. Ives Lane, Athens, GA.
