She was the mother to two beautiful children, Joshua Lee Knight and Loren Jade Knight. Leah is survived by her husband, Jeremy Allen Knight of Watkinsville, GA; her son, Joshua Lee Knight; her daughter Loren Jade Knight; her mother, Michele Zalisko of Bogart, GA; her sister Jamie (Scott) Marsh of Tulsa, OK; her sister, Ellie (Brian) Nicholson; her sister-in-law, Amanda (Ezra) Freelove of Athens, GA; her brother-in-law, Terry Knight of Athens, GA; her nephew Tyler Mooney of Waukesha, WI; her niece Jordan Mooney of Weatherford, OK; her niece, Samantha Marsh of Tulsa, OK; her nephew Gabriel Knight of Athens, GA; her niece, Avery Nicholson; and her niece, Rosalyn Freelove.

Leah grew up in Peoria, Illinois and Danielsville, Georgia, attending Madison County High School and Athens Technical College.  Leah was a devoted wife and mother who took excellent care of her family, pets, and home. She most recently worked for the University of Georgia Athletic Association, where she watched her favorite football team win a National Championship, twice! Leah had the most loving and giving heart, a sweet disposition, and a beautiful smile that touched everyone she met. She was an animal lover, who volunteered with a local organization to feed stray cat colonies, and took the family’s dog with her everywhere she could.  She loved to travel, especially to the beach, where she looked forward to going every summer.  She enjoyed various activities in the great outdoors with her children and nieces, especially when it was warm enough to swim. Leah adored flowers, and lately became an avid gardener.
