Watkinsville, GA - Lawrence Judson Wood, Sr., 77, passed away June 3, 2008.
A native of Oconee County, he was a son of the late Leo and Nettie Mae Savage Wood. He was retired from the United States Air Force and was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Wood Anderson.
Survivors include his lifelong companion, Polly Fielding, of the home; children, Chelsea Wood, of the home, Lawrence Judson Wood, Jr. of Watkinsville, Karen Freeman of Athens, Ricky Fielding of Statham; three sisters, Loretta Allen of Rutledge, June Carithers of Nicholson, Jeanette (Jan) Christian of Watkinsville; brother, Doyle Wood of Athens; five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
