Bogart - Lawrence (Larry) Dodson Ferguson, 65, husband of Carole OíKelley Ferguson, died Monday, February 20, 2006 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Toccoa, GA, he was the son of the late Jack and Min Ferguson. Larry was also preceded in death by his son Larry Ferguson, and brother Bill Ferguson. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after thirty-two years. He served his county in the Army Reserves and the US Coast Guard.
In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his daughter and son-in-law; Lisa and Ken Neal of Kennesaw, granddaughter, Kathryn Neal, step daughter and son-in-law; Terri and Ronny Kittle of Watkinsville, grandsons; Zac and Judson Kittle, brother, Jack Ferguson of Clemson, SC, sister Susan Gregory of Atlanta and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2PM, Wednesday at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Eddie Bennett officiating. Pallbearers will be J.A. Peck, Jimmy Kenney, Landall Mitchell, Chet Weatherly, Michael OíKelley and Bryan Barrett. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Vista Care Hospice, 150 Ben Burton R, Bogart, GA 30622 or to Fellowship Center, 1901 Clinch Ace., Knoxville, TN 37916.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Ronny and Terri Kittle, 1110 Stonebridge Parkway, Watkinsville.
