Lexington - Laura Harris Palmer, 84, wife of the late Seth Lamar Palmer, died January 11, 2007 at Quiet Oaks Nursing Home.
A native of Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Lee Norman and Mamie Clark Norman. She had attended Pentecost Chapel and retired from Jefferson Mills. Her son Larry Palmer; daughter: Linda Palmer; sisters: Maude Stephens, Nellie Norman, Lillie Belle Escoe, Frances Woods; brothers: Ralph Norman, Ora Norman, Harold Norman also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children: Randall Palmer and his wife Frances, of Lexington, GA, Terry Palmer of Lexington, GA; six grandchildren, Susan Caldwell; Jennifer, Blaine, Jackie, Stephanie and Tyler Palmer and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 15, 2007 at 2PM at Pentecost Chapel with Revs. Ty Sorrow and Butch Robert officiating. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Blaine Palmer, Marvin Palmer, Eddie Franklin Stephens, Wayne Norman, David Norman and Carlton Nunn.
