Larry Thomas Seagraves

On Thursday, July 22, 2021, Larry Seagraves, went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 72. Larry grew up in Madison County and was the son of the late James Roy Seagraves, Sr. and Dessie Mae Williams Seagraves. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Halford Seagraves and Roy Seagraves, Jr. He was the original owner of Heaven's Best Carpet Cleaning and currently was working for the Oconee County School System as a bus driver for ten years. Larry enjoyed working and no matter how many times he said he was going to retire everyone knew that he would not. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, Statham, GA. Larry was married to his sweetheart and love of his life, Faye Seagraves, for more that 43 years. He was a loving father to Melanie (Dirk) Visser, Timmy Strickland, Jammy Strickland, Scott Seagraves, Angie Seagraves and he adored his 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was the brother to Hershelene Vickery, Betty Smith, Val Tyner, Trudy Evans and Linda Chase. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 26, 2021 at 3PM at Oconee Chapel, 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville, GA. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3 until 5 on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Oconee Chapel. Lord and Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.lordandstephens.com
