Larry Joe "Punk" Roberts

Larry Joe "Punk" Roberts, 67, of Athens, died October 5, 2013.
A native of Athens, he was the son of the late John Towns and Dessie Bullock Roberts and was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Roberts.
Mr. Roberts worked for AmeriPride and Northeast Sales Distributing, and was also a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam. He attended Whitehall Baptist Church.
Survivors include two children, Kristi Roberts of Athens and Steve Roberts of Nicholson; two sisters, Barbara Teat and Jackie Hembree both of Athens; two grandchildren, Haley Roberts and Austin Fowler; two great grandchildren, Makenzie Stevens and Sebastian Fowler; three nephews, Mitch and Mike Teat and Scott Hembree; and one niece, Susan Cook.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 11 AM at Whitehall Baptist Church with Rev. Buford Lockman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Gentiva Hospice.
Family & friends will be gathering at the home of his sister Barbara Teat, 117 White Circle Athens, GA 30605.
