Watkinsville - Lanny McFalls, 59, husband of Debra McFalls, died Friday, May 14, 2010.
Born in Dekalb County, he was the son of the late J.D. McFalls. Lanny retired from DuPont after 29 ½ years, was currently working at Evans Pest Control and was the owner and operator of Oconee Guns and Sport. He was the Vice President of the Athens Rifle Club and served his county in the US Air Force.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 17, 2010 at 3PM at the West Chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes with Rev. James Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two children: Christy Dawn O'Kelley of Watkinsville, L. Gary McFalls, Jr. of Athens; sister: Dorothy Brewster of Greenwood, SC; mother in law: Hazel Butler of Watkinsville; grandchildren: Michael, Sierra and Connor O'Kelley, Ethan McFalls; brother in law: Lamar Butler; nephews: Tony Butler, Keith Butler; nieces: Beth Wilbanks and Vickie O'Kelley.
The family will receive friend Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
