Athens - Mrs. Kyle Erin Straw, 50, passed away August 19, 2007.
A native of Fulton County, Ga., she was a daughter of Patricia Embry Crossin of Roswell, Ga., and the late Ronald Hugh "Tex' Crossin. She attended the University of Georgia and was employed as a nurse at Grandview Nursing Home for many years. Mrs. Straw was a loving mother, sister, daughter and caregiver to many. She also had a genuine love for animals.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Monsignor Joe Corbett officiating. Interment will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery.
Survivors in addition to her mother include two sons, Sam Straw and Zachary Straw, both of Athens; three brothers and sister-in-law, Mike and Susan Crossin of Marietta, Ga., Kelly Crossin of Arlington, Texas, and Casey Crossin of Atlanta, Ga..
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
