Mrs. Kitty Lonette Payne, of the Sanford community in Madison County passed away Friday, August 12, 2011. Kitty was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Seagraves and is survived by her mother, Mary Seagraves, sister, Montine Davis, daughters, Susan Boswell and Donna Sisk, and grandchildren Jonathan Boswell, Salem Fitzpatrick, Joseph Boswell, Jordan Boswell, Brady Fitzpatrick, Austin Sisk, and Emma Boswell. a��
Mrs. Payne worked at Snelling Hall and The Georgia Museum of Art at the University of Georgia. Kitty was a life long member of Gordon's Chapel United Methodist Church in Sanford. During a large portion of her membership there she served as pianist and choir member. In addition to her work on the University campus she taught piano lessons in her home. Some of Kitty's greatest pleasures were working in her flower garden, spending time with her grandchildren, playing the piano, and enjoying life with her beloved George.
Flowers are appreciated, but we encourage donations to Gordon's Chapel United Methodist Church Adult Choir.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday August 13 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Services will be Sunday August 14 at 3:00 PM at Gordon's Chapel United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Lord and Stephens, East is in charge of arrangements.
