Kevin Scott Downey

In loving memory of Kevin Downey, 68, who passed away on November 06, 2022. He was a loving father to his daughter, Moniqua Scott, and his grandchildren Wynter Barlow and Joseph Barlow. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

One of the kindest souls on this planet, Kevin was a gentle, giving man who faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. He was always there for his loved ones and he accepted us all as we are, no judgement. He loved life and tried to teach all of us to do the same.

Kevin served our country in the United States Air Force as a SGT working as a missile systems engineer for 4 years and was Honorably Discharged. In the many years following, Kevin worked as a senior systems engineer. He loved working with binary code and always said "life is just a bunch of dashes and dots man".

Kevin is survived by his daughter, Moniqua Scott. Grandchildren: Wynter Barlow and Joseph Barlow. Sisters: Sharron Woodsum and Kathleen Wilkins.

He was predeceased by his father, George J Downey. Mother, Doris Downey (Wright). Brother Rue Tane Downey.

Pop, you are now at peace but you will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much. Rest in peace.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services.
