Colbert, GA - Kenneth "Kenny" Bush, 60, died November 15, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer.
A native of Emanuel County, GA, he was a son of the late Lucille Giles and Charlie Ezra "Biggon" Bush and was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry Dalton Bush, Leroy Bush and Charlie Dale "Buck" Bush. Kenny was employed for the last ten years with Weyerhauser in Colbert, GA and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, having served in Vietnam. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and friend.
Funeral services will be Sunday, November 18, 2007, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:30PM at the funeral home.
On Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at 2:00 PM, funeral services will be held at the chapel of Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary, Swainsboro, GA with burial to follow at Hebron Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:30PM at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy A. Bush; three children, Carmie Renae Bush of Ackworth, GA, Chris M. (Jenny) Elliott of Villa Rica, GA, and Joshua A. Bush of Carrollton, GA; three sisters, Geraldine Kersey of Adrian, GA, Dovie Thigpen of Dublin, GA; Patricia A. Mosley of Garfield, GA; brother, Glynn E. Bush of Dublin, GA; two grandchildren, Chloe and Cooper.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of local arrangements.
