Kenneth Eugene Lamson, 67, husband of Nina Lamson, died Saturday, June 13, 2020.
Born in San Francisco, CA, he was the son of the late John Calvin Lamson and Aileen Buckley Lamson. Ken had worked at the University of Georgia, Georgia Center as a Baker and was a member of St. Philothea Greek Orthodox Church. He served in the US Navy.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter: Kacina Lamson (Jason) Hewell of Bogart; siblings: Maeve (Jim) Lynch, Jim (Barbara) Lamson, Rich (Frances Rhoades) Lamson and Joan Pivarnik and two grandchildren: Reagan Hewell and Beau Hewell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to Duke Health to either the Lung Transplant Director’s Fund in support of education and patient needs or the Palmer Transplant Research Fund in support of chronic rejection research or to St. Philothea Greek Orthodox Church, 3761 Mars Hill Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677.

The viewing will be from 9:00 am to 9:45 am on Tuesday, June 16 in the Narthex of St. Philothea Greek Orthodox Church for all friends and family to pay their respects. Limited numbers will be allowed in at a time and all persons must wear a mask at the request of the family. We ask that you maintain social distancing, including with the family who will be standing off to the side and not greet everyone up close.
