Ken was born in Greenwich, CT in 1966 and moved with his family to Atlanta in 1972. At the time of his death, Ken was a resident of Elbert County, GA. He lived well and enjoyed spending time with friends at the house he built on Lake Russell, the nearby quarry property, and his land in Colorado. Ken graduated from Riverwood High School and attended Truett-McConnell College. He ran a successful commercial painting business in Georgia and Florida.
Ken was a kind-hearted, generous, outdoorsy, hardworking man and a loving father, brother, and son. He found joy in life every day, especially in nature. His love and daily appreciation of sunsets, lakes, rivers, trees, rocks, campfires and historic artifacts were an inspiration to all when with him.
Survivors include his children Forrest McCord Busby (Emma Mason) and Savannah Mary Busby; parents Alfred W. and Barbara Busby; siblings Alison Agnew (Randy), Melissa Fernlund (Greg), Steve Busby (Nicole); aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; former wives Marybeth Bruder Busby and Shay McCord; and partner Patti Brim Walker. He is predeceased by his beloved identical twin brother William “Bill” Busby.
Ken and the family would appreciate you planting a shrub or tree outdoors in his memory.
A memorial service is planned for a future date.
