Kelly Cordell Smith passed away in the early hours of Thursday, July 4th, 2024. Kelly was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and the long-time business owner of Todd Smith Grading. Kelly was born April 16, 1970, in Knoxville, TN. Her family moved to Cumming, Ga in her early school years. Kelly married her high school sweetheart and graduated Forsyth County high school in 1988. Together Kelly and Todd built a loving family who stood beside her through her recent health struggles. 

Kelly is survived by her husband of 36 years, Todd Smith; her two sons, Brandon (Rebecca) Smith and Luke (Shyenne) Smith; her mother, Rebecca Cordell; her sister and brother-in-law, Toni (Cory) McPherson; father-in-law and mother-in-law Hugh (Rachel) Smith and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ted (Kim) Smith. Kelly’s pride and joy were her four grandchildren: Carter (8), Weston (6) Kendal (5), and Leeland (4). Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive her.

Kelly is preceded in death by her father, Mark Cordell, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Odis Wilson and Mr. and Mrs. Luther Cordell.

A reception of friends and family will be held on: Sunday, July 7th from 3:00 – 5:00 at Lord & Stephens, EAST, 4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605.

Funeral services will not be held at this time.
