Kelly McCannon

Kelly McCannon, 88, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, June 22, 2012.
A native and life long resident of Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late Earl and Emily Patton McCannon. He was also preceded in death by his six sisters and four brothers. He retired from Dixie Granite and was a member of Burts United Methodist Church. Kelly was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Annie Lou Woods McCannon, sons: Steve McCannon of Lexington, Jerry (Sandy) McCannon of Winterville and one granddaughter, Morgan McCannon.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 3PM at Burts United Methodist Church with Rev. Wiley Carney and Rev. Doug Bower officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 at Lord and Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel, Saturday, June 23, 2012.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Burts United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Patricia Mathews, 89 Bridges Road, Carlton, GA 30629.
