Katie Fowler, 68, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 21, 2006.
A native of Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Ethel Giles Colley, and the widow of James W. Fowler. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Henrietta Crowe. She was a homemaker and a member of Memorial Baptist Church of Watkinsville.
Funeral services will be Sunday, April 23, 2006, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Rev. Jimmy Edwards will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include three daughters, Tracie Fowler, Sherry Bone and Debra Horton, all of Watkinsville; two stepchildren, Sabrina Shirley and Hope; two sisters, Mildred Martin of Winterville and Lois Martin of Troy, AL; three brothers, David Colley of Winterville, Waymon Colley and Charles Colley, both of Watkinsville; four grandchildren, Russell Coile, Kevin Hawkins, Eric Bone and Nikki Hawkins; three great grandchildren, Brooke, Brandi, and Madison; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be members of the Oconee County Fire Department Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
