Kathleen Hardeman

Kathleen H. Hardeman, 93, of Winterville, died April 1, 2015.
Born in Winterville, she was the last surviving of 12 children of the late James T. and Rosa Carter Hardeman. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Augustus T. "Gus" Hardeman, daughter, Patsy Hardigree and grandson, Randy Faulkner. Mrs. Hardeman was a longtime member of Winterville Baptist Church and the Marion Coile Sunday School Class.
She was employed with Thomas Textiles for 35 years and was manager of the Union Point facility. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was a loving caregiver to anyone who needed comfort.
Survivors include her daughter, Gayle (Lamar) Duncan of Athens; grandchildren, Russell (Gina) Faulkner, Kelly (Kirk) Atkinson, Keith (Michelle) Duncan, and Karmen Duncan and her fiancé, James Petrie; 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, April 4, 2015 beginning at 1:30 PM. Funeral services follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Richard McFall officiating. Burial will be at Winterville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Winterville Baptist Church, Winterville Cemetery or
St. Mary's Hospice House.
