Lexington - Katherine Sherrer, 80, died April 6, 2006.
A native of Oglethorpe County, she was a daughter of the late Pierce and Susan Burt Mathews, and was the widow of Willis Elton Sherrer. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Eva Steele and Nona Isbel, and a brother, Jewett Lofton Mathews.
Mrs. Sherrer moved to this area forty-eight years ago from North Carolina and has been a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church for many years.
Services will be private.
Lord and Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
