Athens, GA - Katherine I. Kerstetter, 37, died Thursday, February 7, 2008.
Born in Lynn, Mass., she was the daughter of Wilbur ìWillî and Margaret "Jackie" J. Kerstetter. She was a graduate of Veterans Memorial High School, Peabody, Mass., and Northeastern University, Boston, Mass. where she received her Bachelors and Masters in Criminal Justice. Upon graduating from Northeastern she began working at North Shore Community College with the Campus Police. She then continued her education at Unity College, Unity, Maine, receiving her Bachelors in Adventure Education and Leadership, then beginning her studies for her Doctorate in Leisure Studies at the University of Georgia.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her brother, William ìBillî Kerstetter of Houston, TX; nieces, Danielle, Chelsea & Kaitlyn Kerstetter; nephew Alex Kerstetter; aunt, Donna Moreno of LeCanto, FL; uncles, Harold Jenkins of LeCanto, FL, & George Kerstetter of State College, PA.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at the University of Georgia, Lake Herrick Picnic Shelter at 5:30 p.m. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 10:00AM at St. Ann's Church, 136 Lynn Street, Peabody, Massachusetts 01960 with Rev. Charles Stanley celebrant.
