Athens - Katharine Elizabeth Cefalo, 56, died Sunday, September 12, 2010 at her residence.
A native of Queens , NY , she was the daughter of Dorothy Wagner and the late John Wagner. Mrs. Cefalo recently moved to the Athens area from Stuart , Florida . She was attending Watkinsville First Baptist Church and was an avid gardener. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kari Ann Kelly and brother Russell Wagner.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Cefalo, son; Ralph Cefalo, Jr., daughters; Sarah Bennett, Rachel Cefalo and step son; Douglas Cefalo; brothers: John David Wagner, Rich Wagner, Paul Wagner, sister; Nancy Worley, and eight grandchildren: Azziyna Alexander, Vaquan Kelly, Briana Decker, Andrew Daw, Selina Cefalo, Kayla Bittner, Austin Bennett and Gabrielle Cefalo.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 17, 2010 at 11AM at Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors, Watkinsville , GA , with Rev. Carlos Sibley officiating. Burial will follow at Athens Memory Gardens . Pallbearers will be Doug Cefalo, Rich Wagner, Paul Wagner, John Worley, Jeff Bittner and Ralph Cefalo, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Thursday at the funeral home.
