Karen Melinda Hammond

Karen Melinda Hammond, 62, of Athens, GA, died on January 12, 2025.

Born in Athens, GA, she was the daughter of the late William Clifford Hammond and Betty Irene Hardigree Hammond. Karen had worked at Bells Grocery.

Survivors include her two children: Amanda (Josh) Usry Hembree and Johnathan Usry; siblings: Clifford Hammond, Glenn Hammond, Shelby Brehm and Bryan Hammond and four grandchildren: James, Joshua and Austin Hembree and Koir Brown.

A memorial service celebrating Karens’ life will be held at a later date.
