Kaleb Trandum Howington, October 13, 2006 – January 31, 2023, Age 16
Kaleb gained his wings today. Kaleb was 16 years old and lived in Winterville Georgia. He has been battling cancer for more than 3 years. Before getting sick, Kaleb attended Oglethorpe County schools and enjoyed being a part of the FFA program there. Kaleb loved the outdoors. He loved riding dirt bikes and four wheelers. He loved working on engines and driving his Ranger 4X4 pickup truck. He loved muscle cars, but really anything with an engine. He loved being with his friends around a fire at night and playing video games up into the morning in his mancave his dear friend Mike made for him.
Kaleb was preceded in death by his Great PaPa Melvin Beasley, and his Pop Phil. He is survived by his very special Nanny that raised him, Martha Craft Maloch. He loved her dearly and cared for her while he could. He always wanted her to be happy and to have a nice home. In addition to his Nanny, he is survived by his grandmother Betty Maloch, his biological mother Jennifer Maloch, his biological father Trandum Howington, his brothers Isaiah and Caden Maloch, and sisters Ella and Kenzley. In addition to his immediate family, Kaleb is survived by his aunt Rhonda Skinner, uncles Ronnie and Michael Maloch. Kaleb had many cousins and relatives he loved dearly. Dustin Skinner, Samantha Skinner and her children Isabel and Cole Scoggins, April and Taylor Howington, Keith Barrett, Shaprell Howington, Ashton Johnson and Granny Brenda. In addition to his family, Kaleb was especially close to Corey Walker, Dalton Youngblood, Mike Rivers (“Mr. Mike”) and his dog he loved unconditionally, Marley.
Kaleb would want to “Thank” the “Village” that came together while he was sick to build him and Nanny a wonderful new home. Though he did not get to spend a long happy life in his new home, he was at peace knowing his Nana would be well cared for until she too is called home.
Kaleb was courageous in his battle and now rests peacefully in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His body has been made whole and he will await his many friends and family, as well as the village that loved him.
In lieu of flowers, Kaleb would want contributions to be made to Kaleb’s Wish with the proceeds used for expenses and to care of his Nanny and Marley.
